Choosing a snooker table size is a balance between three things: available space, the type of play you want, and your budget.
Room size matters most
As a rule of thumb, you need at least 4.5 feet of clearance on all sides of a table for a comfortable cue action. A 12ft table therefore needs a room of at least 21ft × 15ft.
Match the size to the play
6ft and 7ft tables suit homes and academies with limited space. 8ft is the sweet spot for serious home players. 10ft and 12ft are for competition and clubs.
Budget considerations
Bigger tables use more slate, cloth and framing — and cost more to ship. Our team is happy to talk through the trade-offs for your specific room.
